The formal send-off ceremony for the 3rd HRVCON to Resolute Support in Afghanistan was held in the “Pukovnik Marko Živković“ Barracks at Pleso on 1 September 2015.
The ceremony was attended by the Chief of the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces, General  Drago Lovrić, the Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Dragutin Repinc, the commanders of the services of the Croatian Armed Forces, the heads of the General Staff directorates and other invitees.

The 3rd HRVCON Commander, Colonel Mijo Haršanji expressed his pride over being assigned the duty. Col. Haršanji called on the members of the Contingent to follow the security procedures to enable successful completion of tasks and minimise risks.
