Seminar ”Integration Gender Perspective for Operational Effectiveness“
The Chief of the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces, General Drago Lovrić on 5 October 2015 delivered the address opening the seminar ”Integrating Gender Perspective for Operational Effectiveness“, organised by the Personnel Directorate of the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces. The seminar was attended by Amb. Marriët Schuurman, NATO Secretary General Special Representative on Women, Peace and Security, who elaborated on the importance of integrating gender perspective in NATO.
General Lovrić welcomed the Special Representative for Women, Peace and Security, the attending general officers, the Assistant Minister of Defence for Personnel Management, Sunčana Vukelić and other senior officials of the Ministry of Defence and of the Office to the President of the Republic.
“I am most glad that the Croatian Armd Forces have hosted the seminar of the kind, as it is important for their development and future. “ Gender equality and gender awareness in the Croatian Ministry of Defence and in the Armed Forces constitute one of the basic principles of the defence system today. The purpose of the Seminar is to dedicate due attention to the integraton of gender perspective in all segments and at all levels of oru operation – from the strategic down to the tactical level“, said General Lovrić.
