19 HRVCON sent off to KFOR
The first component of the 19th HRVCON, composed of 12 members of the Croatian Armed Forces, took off in the Mi-171 Sh helicopter from the ”Lučko“ Air Base of the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence to take part in KFOR in Kosovo. The 18-member Contingent is commanded by Major Eduard Perković, a Mi-171 Sh pilot and member of the Multi-purpose Helicopter Squadron of the 91 Air Base.
The 19 HRVCON comprises three helicopter crews of the Multi-purpose Squadron, the air technician team and the National Support Element, and is equipped with two Mi-171 Sh helicopter. Prior to the departure, Major Perković stated that the Contingent members were ready to take part in the mission
The send-off ceremony was attended by Commander of the 91st Air Base, Colonel Darko Brajković as the Envoy of the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence Commander, Colonel Darko Brajković, who expressed trust in the Contingent, based on their demonstrated trainedness and preparedness for all tasks involved in the mission.
