“CAX 15“ Media Day in Croatian Defence Academy
The Computer Assisted Exercise (CAX 15), conducted in the Croatian Defence Academy “Petar Zrinski“ in Zagreb from 8 to 12 June 2015 was concluded with the Media Day on 15 June, organised by the Defence Academy and the Simulation Centre of the Croatian Army. The CAX Media Day was attended by the envoy of the Chief of the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces, Rear admiral Robert Hranj, the Commander of the Croatian Defence Academy, Lieutenant General Slavko Barić, the Support Command Commander, Major General Drago Matanović, the Navy Commander, Commodore Predrag Stipanović, Deputy General Director of Police, Dražen Vitez, Commander of Civil Defence, Robert Mikac, the representatives of the CAF services, CAX Team and Simulation Centre heads. The Exercise participants included the teaching staff and the students of the War School, Advanced Officer School, the Senior NCO School and other Defence Academy personnel. The goal was to increase the students’ operation planning and preparing competence at command and staff posts at various levels (strategic to tactical) in national and multi-national settings. Lieutenant General Slavko Barić was appointed Executive Director the Exercise, the Exercise Commander was Commodore Tihomir Erceg, and the Director Colonel Miro Čolić respectively.
