The first integration training of the Mechanised Infantry Battlegroup, engaging the members of the 1st Mechanised Battalion “Tigrovi“ alongside other components of the Guards Mechanised Brigade was completed in the Training Range “Eugen Kvaternik”; the training was complemented with the evaluation of the company preparing for NATO’s enhanced Forward Presence in Lithuania. The training was conducted from  22 May to 3 June. The core unit of the Battlegroup is the 1st Mechanised Battalion “ Tigrovi“, reinforced with other elements of the Guards Mechanised Brigade – the Missile Air Defence Platoon, the Engineer Platoon, the NBC Defence Platoon, the D30 122-mm Howitzer Battery, the ISTAR element, the Signal Platoon, the CIMIC Team, a part of the PSYOPS Platoon and the key personnel of the logistic component of the Support Command

It has been the first integration training of Mechanised Infantry Battle Group taken by almost entire units. It contained demanding exercises of evaluation of manoeuvre platoons in offensive and defensive actions, and live-fire practice by squads, platoons and company, engaging the elements and capabilities of the components guaranteeing a full spectrum of capabilities and autonomy of the Mechanised Infantry Battlegroup in combat situations. In addition to the integration training of the Group I, the exercise saw the evaluation of the company for the enhanced Forward Presence in Lithuania.  The training itself has been evaluated highly useful for the subsequent preparations prior to the national evaluation of the Mechanised Infantry Battlegroup, to be conducted in the Exercise “Udar 17“, and enabled all the Group’s components acquire the capabilities beyond their nomiunal cabilities in their basic units.

The national evaluation of the Mechanised Infantry Battlegroup will be conducted within the Exercise “Udar 17“, and the integration training has been assessed very useful for all the components.
