Mons. Jure Bogdan was ordained as new military bishop in the Saint Peter’s Church in Split on 27 February 2016, by the archbishop-metropolitan of Split-Makarska and the former Military Bishop, Mons. Juraj Jezerinac.
The new bishop’s chosen motto is “Everything for the greater glory of God“ (Omnia ad maiorem Dei gloriam”).
The ordination rite was attended by the Defence Minister Josip Buljević as Envoy of the President of the Republic, the Defence Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Marina Pendeš, the Chief of the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces, the Chief Inspector, Lieutenant General Mirko Šundov and other distinguished visitors.
