During the official visit to the Croatian Armed Forces, the USAREUR and U.S. Army NATO Senior Enlisted Leader,  Command Sergeant Major  Sheryl D. Lyon visited the Croatian Defence Academy ”Dr. Franjo Tuđman“. 

She was welcomed on behalf of the Croatian Armed Forces by their 1st NCO,  Sergeant Major Dominik Ban and on behalf of the Croatian Defence Academy by its Deputy Commander, Brigadier General Zdravko Klanac and the Academy Command 1st NCO, Sergeant Major Ivan Grudenić. 

Bidding welcome to CSM Lyon, Brig. Gen. Klanac underlined the importance of the co-operation and of the NCO Chain of support for any military.  CSM Lyon visited the 14th generation of the students of the Senior NCO School and held a lecture on “Gender Perspective“. The students appreciated her lecture as very useful , giving an insight into the gender awareness in other armed forces and the conditions required for its full implementation. Accompanied by the Croatian Army Command 1st NCO, Sergeant Major Dario Rosić, CSM Lyon also visited the Command and the units of the Croatian Army.
